Empowering Governments to Safeguard National Borders.
Governments face complex security challenges — from drug trafficking and terrorism to public health risks — exacerbated by international travel. Many border systems remain outdated, lacking adaptability to evolving threats.
To secure national borders effectively, INKAS® Aerospace & Defense addresses every stage of a traveler’s journey. Our comprehensive border security approach is divided into four phases — Before Travel, At the Border, Within the Country, and After Travel — each designed to enhance security, streamline processes, and provide actionable intelligence. By integrating advanced technologies at each phase, we empower governments to proactively identify and manage risks while facilitating a smooth experience for legitimate travelers.
The "Before Travel" phase enables proactive traveler risk assessment before departure. Our Visual Travel Authorization (vTA) system collects biometrics, issuing a Digital Travel Pass (DTP) to simplify border entry. The API-PNR Targeting System gathers passenger data and integrates biometrics for risk assessment, ensuring seamless carrier connectivity. The eVisa system digitizes the visa process, replacing manual steps with a secure, efficient platform. These solutions help governments manage risks and streamline entry for low-risk travelers.
The "At the Border" phase enhances security by integrating traveler data from different journey stages. Pre-Travel solutions like vTA, API-PNR, and eVisa connect with in-country Border Management Systems (BMS), giving immigration officials vital, real-time intelligence. This integration helps allocate resources effectively, focusing on medium- to high-risk travelers, while providing fast-track entry for low-risk individuals. We also offer a BMS that can replace or work alongside current systems. GateFree further streamlines entry using facial recognition to identify travelers with vTA, sorting them based on risk. It processes up to 30 travelers per minute, enabling efficient clearance without expensive E-Gates.
Our vTA system continues to provide intelligence on foreign travelers or identified suspicious individuals throughout their stay in the destination country. The Digital Travel Pass (DTP) generated by the vTA system can be used to monitor the activities of persons of interest when they check into a hotel, rent a car, purchase a SIM card or local phone, dine at a restaurant, attend large events, or engage in other activities. This level of contact tracing is essential to help mitigate virus spread and to prevent international criminal networks — such as human traffickers, smugglers, and terrorists — from establishing operations within the country.
Our vTA system, API-PNR Targeting system, and Border Management system work together to monitor future entries of suspicious individuals or known threats recently added to government or international watchlists. These systems leverage AI and Machine Learning to continually learn from past experiences, enhancing their ability to prevent potential future threats to the nation.
“Our mission is to transform border security with innovative, data-driven solutions that meet the needs of nations and travelers at every stage.”
Our Visual Travel Authorization system is a groundbreaking pre-travel solution that combines biometric data with traveler information to assess risk levels days or weeks before arrival. It’s a fully managed, cloud-based system supporting multimodal travel (air, land, sea, and river), providing governments the ability to preemptively identify and address potential security risks. Each authorized traveler receives a secure Digital Travel Pass (DTP), simplifying their journey with a seamless, fast-track process upon arrival, enhancing safety, efficiency, and traveler experience.
The API-PNR Targeting System is a comprehensive, feature-rich solution that enables border security agencies to collect and analyze passenger data across multiple travel modes. This next-generation system integrates facial biometric data and other traveler information from airlines, maritime, and land-based carriers without transmission fees, providing enhanced situational awareness. When combined with the vTA, the system delivers a complete, real-time view of border activity, empowering agencies with predictive intelligence and efficient monitoring.
Our eVisa system is a secure, cloud-based platform for managing visa applications from start to finish. Designed to reduce processing time and increase operational security, this fully digital system generates a Digital Visa for each approved applicant, eliminating the need for physical visa stamps. This efficient, scalable, customizable system can be deployed rapidly, enhancing convenience for travelers and control for immigration authorities, making it an ideal solution for nations seeking to modernize visa issuance, streamline procedures, and support seamless cross-border mobility.
Our early warning, systems are working on data gathered prior to travel, which contains extensive information collected directly from travelers, transport carriers, and other relevant sources, such as Interpol, FBI, the UN, and government watchlists. This data creates a comprehensive view of each person planning to enter the country through various border crossing points (airports, seaports, river ports, and land borders). The rich data collected not only enhances national security but also serves as a powerful source of Business Intelligence (BI) for the country. All captured data is exported to an Elasticsearch cluster, where it is indexed to allow flexible and comprehensive search capabilities. The dataset is anonymized to ensure full compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, PCI, etc.). This data can be visualized in real-time using data visualization dashboards designed for Elasticsearch.
